HOW THE FELICITATION CEREMONY TURNED OUT TO BE A BOON
Kolli Raghurami Reddy, a native of Parimi who had achieved State First Rank in Civil Services was felicitated by the Trust. The Chief Election Committee President, Sri K.J.Rao addressed the program as chief guest.
This occasion proved to be a boon for two students:
YALAMANDHA: Sadly, this boy had lost both his legs in a train accident, while pursuing his education in a Polytechnic College. His physical disability, along with his poor socio-economic background prevented him from continuing his studies.
SUNITHA: This girl had lost her mother when she was young and was brought up by her grandfather who used to plough the field. He supported her education till B.Sc. Unfortunately, due to some reason he was unable to continue earning, but still got her admitted to the M. Sc course, by taking a loan. Sadly, in her second year she realized that she is not in a position to pay Rs.25000/- towards her fee.
Both of these youngsters took this opportunity to describe their state to the gathering and the villagers gathered there contributed a small amount to both of them. Further, Sri Modugula Venugopala Reddy from Pedaparimi, running a business in Bangalore assured help to them by all means. He generously agreed to bear all the expenses till the completion of their education.
