Rain Water Harvesting Structures
A project called “Rain Water Harvesting Structures For Roof Top Houses” of a colony, was sanctioned for MCBRM Trust in 2008-09. The Council for Advancement of People’s Action and Rural Technology (CAPART) sanctioned a total amount of Rs. 4,17,980/- towards the construction of 40 structures in Pedaparimi village of Tulluru Mandal. The duration of this project is 1 year.
In the 1st phase CAPART sanctioned an amount of Rs. 2,08,990/- to construct 20 rain water harvesting structures in 6 months. In the first 3 months i.e., January 09 to March 09, the Trust has given trainings and spread awareness among people. The Trust has spent an amount of Rs. 50,660/- towards this by also adding the contribution of beneficiaries Construction of 20 rain water harvesting structures was completed by October and were handed over to 20 beneficiaries.

For sure, empowering women, by enhancing her chances to earn money, is empowering the whole household. It benefits all the members in the household since Indian women feels it her responsibility to take care of every member of the family and she really strives for the same. Therefore, we work on women empowerment in many ways. As part of it, In partnership with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) we have trained 35 women so far in garment making in Rayapudi village under Rural Entrepreneurship Development Program (REDP). Soon going to implement many such projects.
