Naataka Kalotsavam Parimi
KALOTSAVAM
Muvva China Bapireddy Memorial Trust had organized “Kalotsavam” in association with Ramky Kalaapeetham at Pedaparimi Village, Tulluru Mandal. Kalotsavam was conducted from 20/5/11 to 22/5/11.
The program was inaugurated in the evening of 20/5/2011 under the presidentship of Dr. Papineni Sivasankar, who told about the establishment of MCBRM Trust, Ramky Kalaapeetham and many other programs that are being conducted. Chief guest Mr. Naidu Gopi, famous actor, told the importance of “Pedaparimi” and the importance of conducting Kalotsavam there. He also told that Dramas help to motivate the society in positive direction. Special guest, Sri Valluri Siva Prasad highlighted how drama field substitute the increasing effect of cinema field on public. Sri Modugula Papi Reddy, Vanga Sambi Reddy had gave their speech after which the program continued with a drama presented by Aravinda arts of Thadepalli in the name of “Idi Oka Vishadam”
On 21st May 2011 Sri Lingamguntla Subba Rao gave fabulous Archery performance at 7’o clock in the evening. After that Sri P.Vinay Kumar spoke on behalf of Ramky Foundation. The program continued with dramas performed by Sai Ram arts, Pedaparimi on AIDS in the name of “Naakoo Brathakalani Vundi”, followed by “Nuvvu + Nenu-Prema=Pelli” performed by Gangothri, Pedakakani. At last, local artists, Sri Muvva Peda Bapi Reddy, Sri Meka Mohan Rao has performed poetic drama “Gayopakhyanam”.
Valedictory ceremony was conducted in the evening of 22nd May (Sunday). Chief Guest Sri Katikela Sambi Reddy praised Ramky foundation and Muvva China Bapi Reddy Memorial Trust for their helping hands to develop Pedaparimi. Chief guest Sri Achyutha Ravichandra, SP, Guntur, spoke about the importance of encouraging arts and culture in rural areas in present scenario and also praised Ramky Kalaapeetham and Muvva China Bapi Reddy Memorial Trust for their services.
Chief executive of Muvva Chinabapi Reddy Memorial Trust, Sri M V Rami Reddy, explained objectives of their trust and the response that they are receiving from the people and also told about Old Age Home that they are going to build.
On this occasion SP Sri Ravichandra , Sri Katikela Sambi Reddy has felicitated Sri Modugula Papi Reddy and Smt Modugula Adi Lakshmi. Sri Papi Reddy responded happily.
The program was followed by the dramas “Oka Maha Pathanam” and “Manishi Kaatu” which are the highlights of this three day program. Every day around three hundred members attended the program.
This “Kalotsavam” is an example to show that there will be positive response even from the rural areas for a purposeful and productive activity.
